A Busy Girl’s Beauty Routine

I’m a busy, busy girl. I can usually work from 1pm to 1am, depending on my daily tasks…and how much I ignored my responsibilities the week before.

The Face

When you’re on the run, and don’t have time to dab here and there with a beauty blender sponge, powder foundation is the first thing on my mind. It’s easy to apply, and it’s also pretty much mistake-proof. So you don’t have to worry about any crazy streaks or lines. This Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation was recently on sale at Ulta, so I picked up. And I’m so happy that I did! It’s so velvety, smooth, and easy to use.

However, when I’m not on the run, I LOVE my Maybelline Fit Me! Matte & Poreless foundation. This stuff seriously wears all damn day. I never really have to worry about it through out a busy day. It virtually works with almost every powder I’ve tried.

PLUS, it doesn’t hurt that this drug store foundation is super cheap! I usually get it at Target. I’ve gone through three bottles of it so far. But it’s mostly because my skin color is constantly changing.

The Eyes

My poppers are my focal point. I like to add a wing and make it into a cat eye. I’ve literally done this since, like, the ninth grade. But, this is the busy girl’s routine, and not many busy girls can create a decent cat eye in under two minutes. Plus, I don’t recommend rushing such a complicated thing…it usually makes things worse.

I curl the crap out of my eye lashes because they naturally point straight down. And I only use waterproof formulas because no matter the mascara, my lashes never stay curled unless I use a waterproof formula.

The Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama mascara is only a dollar more than the rest of their line, but this is my favorite at the moment. You can’t go wrong with Blackest Black. Has anyone ever worn brown? Seriously, maybe I should give it a shot.

 Speaking of eyes…

I’m always switching up my brow routine. But lately I’ve been using a brow mascara and I’m over the look. I’m back to pencils to fill in the sparse areas.

Thankfully, I’ve always had full brows so things in this department never got too crazy. Maybelline’s Brow Precise Micro Pencil is awesome! I love how tiny it is and how detailed you can be with it.

Moving on to Lips

These new Maybelline Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liners have been popping up everywhere with their latest lipstick shapes. I decided to pick one up. And of course…I LOVE it. Maybelline is honestly one of my most beloved drugstore brands. I used this liner under their Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick. I think this color, Nude Blush, was more of a recent release.

The Rest

I hated dry shampoo…until now of course. Freeman Pssst! has an incredible formula, and lately they came out with new scents. So I picked up the tropical scented one. It smells lovely and gets rid of my worst oily hair days. I usually have to wash everyday, but since buy this I haven’t had to wash as much.

And have you ever tried Lypsyl. It’s a silly little lip balm, but I’ve used it for years. This is probably my twentieth purchase of it. I am also trying out this Sally Hansen top coat! Will push through some of my recommendations for long lasting nail products soon!
