A modest appeal to glamour is exactly how Maiyet has chosen to captivate us within their Spring Summer 2017 collection. There’s something so whimsical seeping through an array of asymmetrical hems, transparent details, and swingy silhouette. Maiyet marks a lovely genre of ethical and luxurious garments, also known for preserving ancient artisan techniques from master craftsmen of India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Mongolia, Peru, Bolivia, Japan, and Thailand. The fashion brand’s commitment to interpreting old school techniques into mod pieces of ethically derived women’s wear.
The collection takes an easy to follow approach to a neutral color scheme. At first glance, there’s a striking simplicity to each piece, but luckily nothing overly feminine or boxy. The New York City touch is not lost in the Spring Summer 2017 collection.
Keeping with the Maiyet theme, if you thought this Spring/Summer collection was hot, check out the SS16 collection they released for last summer. It had the summer melting.
